In 1943 the allied perormed on of the most reckless groundmanoeuver, a dead body was provide whit false pappers and thrown in the ocean close to the shore of Spain. The Germans discoverd the body and sent a big ammount of troops to Greece that according to the documents where the next target of the Allied forces. But the Allied forces invaded Sicilli and whit that got a good advantage in Southern Europe.
So far the identify of the dead man been videly discussed, despite that he played a huge roll in the plan. The canadian historian Denis Smyth is now sure that it was the homeless Glundwr Michales body that where used. During research for a new book Smyth has revealed a secret document written by the man behind the plan, British secretservicecheif Ewen Montagu. Acording to the document was Michaels insane and died after been eating ratpoison. In the same document is Montagu expressing his worries over that the Germans would detect the remains of the rat poison and understand that the man didn´t drown.
