Marie Smith-Jones has passed away at the age of 89, she was the last person to speak eyak.
It was one of twenty traditionall language in Alaska. Smith-Jones made togtheter whit langageresearchers a eyak wordlist and a gramatic bok to the langauge.
Sadly many of the langauge in Alska will mett the same destiny in the following years.
