Acoustic scientists have started to research and play on ancient conch shells in a way to understand how they where used for over 3.000 years ago. It could be that a ancient civilizations in Pery could have played on a instrument that resembles the trumpet already for 3.000 years ago.
The music which is powerfully haunting and droning, could have been used in religious ceremonies, the research team reported their analysis Nov. 17 at the Second Pan-American/Iberian Meeting on Acoustics in Cancun, Mexico
