Found : Cemetery of Statues

Two fragments from statues have recently been uncovered at the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III in Luxor, Egypt. On the left piece researchers found a head of the baboon god, Hapi and on the right piece they found the legs of another red granite statue.
Egyptian archaeologists belives that they have found a new type of cemetery that consists of broken and damaged ancient statues near the northern side of the funerary temple of King Tut´s grandfather at the west bank of the Nile.
A team is now excavating, which indeed has brought many statues above earth and also two red granite statue fragments, that is belived to have been parts of a larger statue of Amenhotep III the grandfather of Tutankhamun and only features two legs, the other piece is about 9 foot and is the high head of the god Hapi.
