This year it is 35 years since John Cleese and Connie Both walked into BBC and presented their idea for a new tv show, but when presented the idea, one of the BBC bosses gives John a note saying ”The serie is filled whit kliches and stereotypes, and i couldn´t imagine that it would end whit more then a disaster.” Today John has the note framed and has it on his wall as a remembrance. After the first six episodes in the first season, every one agreed, Fawlty Towers where a success. It was aired in a total of 12 episodes in 2 seasons,
The show was voted fifth in the BBC’s ”Britain’s Best Sitcom” poll in 2004 and second only to Frasier in The Ultimate Sitcom poll of comedy writers in January 2006
I doub´t that they would read this, but many thanks John and Connie for a great serie
