John Wesley Hardin born 26 May 1853 and died on August 19 1895 was an american Outlaw and gunfighter of the Old West.
In 1878 Hardin went to prison and claimed that he had killed 42 men.
Hardin didn´t just manage to kill his enemys, but even his Brother Joe and two of his cousins where killed by a lynchmob that was after revenge for a murder that Hardin had comitted.
On the 19th of August 1895 Hardin went to Acme Saloon where he started to playing dice. Sometime around midnight John Selman Sr, a police officer, walked in to the saloon, noticed Hardin and shot him in the back of the head killing him instantly. When Hardins body where lying on the floor, Selman fired three more shots at the dead body.
Selman was brought to trial for the killing where he claimed it was selfdefence, the verdict become that he was released on bond. But on the 6th of April 1896 Selman was killed by US Marschal George Scarborough, they had been playing cards and gotten into an argument. Both men exited the saloon to the alley and shots started to fall, after a while Scarborough returned alone.
