Minot is beeing evacuated

The city of Minot in North Dakota is beeing evacuated due to heavy floods in the area.

Many thousands are now leaving their homes since the Souris River goes over its boundries.

Minot is the fourth largest city in North Dakota and is less then 60 miles south of the Candian border. The city was founded in the late 1800:s due to the construction of Great Northern Railroad.

The citizens of Minot have started to build dikes in hopes of saving the citys infrastructure. Let´s just hope thats enough.
