Mr Fabulous dies

Mr Fabulous, a.k.a Alan Rubin was born on the 11th of February 1943 and was a American musician and actor. He could play trumpet, flugelhorn and piccolo trumpet.

He was a member of the Saturday Night Live band which played at the closing cermony of the 1986 Olympic games.

In the movie Blues Brothers he portrayed Mr Fabulous in both the 1980 film and the sequel in 1998, he did also tour whit the band.

During his carrer Rubin played whit many famous artists, just a few is : Frank Sinatra, Frank Zappa, Duke Ellington, Sting, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, B.B. King, Miles Davis, Yoko Ono, Peggy Lee, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Ray Charles and many more.

Alan Rubin died of lungcancer on the 8th of June 2011, 68 years old
