Sega hack affects 1.29 million users

We have identified that a subset of SEGA Pass members emails addresses, dates of birth and encrypted passwords were obtained. To stress, none of the passwords obtained were stored in plain text.

It is the SEGA Pass, the company’s member database and online network, that has been hacked.

So far Sega hasn´t released any information about how the hack could be carried out but warns their users to be carefull.
