More than 60 years after their father disapperd three american brothers found the submarine their fahter where captain of during the second world war.
During 2001 the brothers came in contact whit a Japanese historian that told them that the submarine was attacked and sinked by a japanese cargoship 1942.
2006 the brothers equiped their expedition and travled to the waters where it was said the submarine sunk, and whit a sonar they managed to locate the suncen submarine that was on thousand meter deep in the sea.
Photographs where taken of the wreck and sent to the american navy and they have officially declared the wreck ,whitout any doubt, to be USS Grunion
