Adventurers want to reach the bottom of the world’s oceans

Richard Branson wants to dive into the world’s five most inaccessible deep sea graves in a special submarine.

Billionaire and the man behind the Virgin conglomerate, Richard Branson, is known to spend a lot of money on adventures on land, on water, air and in space. Now he wants to explore world’s deepest ocean in a submarine for one person.
Branson’s specially designed submarine ”Deep Flight Challenger” will visit the five most inaccessible deep sea graves in the world’s oceans. On the way to a video camera documenting how ecosystems will change, when the submarine is deeper. The first expedition departs later this year, eleven kilometers down to the bottom of the world’s deepest grave, Mariana Trench in the Pacific. This allows Richard Branson partner Chris Welsh as a pilot, while Branson himself will steer the submarine on the other skills.
Submarine to explore the bottom
Only once before has a manned craft has taken all the way down to the Mariana Trench bottom. It was 1960, when two men were drowned in a special submarine, called batyskaf. The new submarine is not just down and up again, but also explore the surroundings on a ten-kilometer stretch along the bottom of the grave.

In addition to the manned submarine, a series of remote-controlled robots to collect samples in order to, inter alia, to identify the microorganisms that live on the seabed. A total of seven researchers from various institutions associated with the project.
Later, Puerto Rico The tomb, the only Atlantic deep-sea burial, in turn. Where is Branson take more than five miles down into the depths. Then follows the deepest tombs of the Arctic Ocean, Southern Ocean and Indian Ocean.

The 3.6-ton ”Deep Flight Challenger” has a hull made of carbon fiber and titanium and a dome of quartz glass, so that båtstyraren have great views. The strong material makes the submarine is at the enormous pressure of 1100 kilograms per square centimeter at sea. It can stay in the u-mode for 24 hours straight and move to 5.5 kilometers per hour.
The vessel is designed so that it automatically rises to the surface, if not constantly moving forward. It appears at an angle of up to 45 degrees and can reach 100 meters further down per minute. A 38-meter catamaran will take the submarine to the destination.

Kraken


Kraken is a legendary sea monsters of giant proportions that have been said to have been around the coasts of Norway and Iceland.

The legend is ofcourse fiction but it haven´t stopped people from using it in popular culture such as films, leterature, television and video games, Kraken has even appeared on postage stamps.

The first mention of Kraken is from around 1250 in the scientific work Konungs skuggsjá where its described in detail

But there is some truth in the stories about Kraken to, it could have originated from sightings of real giant squids, they tend to grow to about 13-15 m (40-50 ft) whit the tentacles messured in the length, they often live at the great depths but have been sighted at the surface and have also been reported to attack ships.

Eldorado

The hunt for the gold demanded many humanlifes

Eldorado was the king in a very rich fantasy country, every year the king was powered whit goldstoff and the sailed out on a sea where he dive in to the water and sacrificed rich gifts to the lake.

The story was told for the spanish qoncistador Sebastián de Benalcázar by an indian. and it was acctually true. It had existed such a custom at the muiscatribe and the sea was Laguna de Guatavita. But the Muisca tribe had been defetead by a neigbourtribe and the custom was long gone before the spanish arrived during the 15th century.

But the story remained as the soul during several decades hunt for the gold. But during the years Eldorado changed from being the king to a place.

Where has Eldorado been searched for?

Sebastián de Benalcázar did go on a expedition for the gold along the lake of Guatavita and after him followe many other expiditions that did cost many humanlives, bot of members of the expeditions and the indians that was unlucky enough to live close by. The lake was drowned several times, for example by Alexander Von Humboldt, but the only item found was a smaragd, a couple of cups and a few other items.

Could it bee found?

Besides lake Guatavita other places have been pointed out in the hunt for Eldorado, one of them is Manoa that is mentioned in a book by english Sir Walter Raleigh. But when checking the history completley, Manoa dosen´t exists just as the other places, so that someone finds Eldorado is acctually not even possible.

City of Vikings found

In the year 841 the vikings sat sail for Irland, now several houndres of years after have their settlement been found.

Archaeologist has so far found more than 200 items in the settelment, and they are expekting to find even more. The settlement is protected by a moat and lies close to the river Glyde, that later enters the Irish sea. Researchers have found tools and furnace which made researchers certain that the vikings used the site as repair site for their navy during the vinter.
Acording to exevationsleader Marc Clinton the settlement is most likley the place known in the mythical Linn Duchaill.

Atlantis

One of the old stories that never wil die is the story of Atlantis. The kingdom that vanished in the sea, first named by Platon but has never been proven to exist in history. Many researchers has been trying to locate Atlantis and even placed it in several parts of the world. But no one has succeded so far.
Several suggestions has been placing Atlantis in Spain, to the west outside Gibraltar. But also Irland has been sugested as a place for Atlantis. The old Swedish researcher Olof Rudebeck (The older) was argumenting that Atlantis was the same as Sweden, but his argument was filled whit problems and faults

But the true story is that most lilkely Atlantis never existed.

But could Atlantis anyway have been existing?

A finding of strange lines in Google Earth, sparkeld the theories, It was west of the Caribians that a rectangular area with lines
. The problem was that they where so straight that it couldnt been done by nature but from humans, even researchers was suprised over the pictures
Google claims that it was made whit one of the tools that they use to collect data

Swedish inventor built Monitor

Monitor was one of the most important ships during the American civil war. After many thoughts and considerations the mission to build the ship went to the Swedish inventor John Eriksson to build a ship that would be unsikable and sink so many of the enemys ship as possible. The ship turned out to be very strange, only the cannonturret was visible above the surface. The turret could be turned around and fire in any direction. Monitor did win the famous sea battle against Virgina (many times referd to as Merimak)

Henry Hudson dissaperd in the icesea

After Henry Hudson discoverd Manhattan (1609), he quickly went to sea again, already the next year he had collected enough money to find the northwestpassage north of America. In August 1610 Hudson and his crew of 22 men sailed the ship Discovery on what later would be called Hudson Bay. Month after Month they tried to go past the large ice, but the ice eventually stopped them. They soon had eaten all their food and was froced to go ashore and try to live on what the nature offerd them, but they very soon got frostbites. But now the crew had have enough, one morning they made mutiny and placed Hudson i a rowboat toghter whit his son John and those of the crew that where sick or lojal to Hudson. The little rowboat managed to follow Discovery for a while but soon it dissaperd, and whitout food or water on a icesea, Henry Hudson wanished from history. When Discovery returned to London, the crew where put on trial for muteni and murder, but was freed of all charges. They claimed that Hudson had found the northwestpassage and that they knew about it, and the English goverment didn´t wan´t to loose this information.

The monster in the great lake?

The ”monster” in Storsjön has been captured on tape, it was an big newsflash a couple of months ago.
But this, whell if you think this is the great sea monster i belive you are wrong.
It dosent look like anything the wittness have described, looks more like an eel or a sperm.
