The Chinese empror Qin Shi Huangi (empror of China 259-210 B.C) was very afraid of dying. He spent enormus ammounts of money in the quest of finding eternal life, acording to Chinese mythologi could be find on the island east of China. Since the empror was afraid of coups and assasins he was always on the run and moved frequently. At the end of his period as empror he started to eat mercury to become imortal. The experiment did turn out in the other way, he died by an overdose mercury.
