There are many people through the years that have had speculated in who Mona Lisa was.
Was it Da Vinci´s mother? his mistress?
The note that could be the solution is written by Agostino Vespucci, in a collection of letters from the roman politican Cicero, Vespucci writes that Da Vinci in Oktober 1503 was working on three portraits and one of the was the portrait of Lisa Gherardini. The year fits whit the date artexperts have given the Mona Lisa painting.
By that sicentists means it should be no more speculations about who Da Vinci did paint.
