The same day that Axel Von Fersen where murderd the Swedish liutenant Carl Otto Mörner arrived in Paris. His mission where to make the frensh empreror Napoleon Bonaparte aknoledge the choise of the Swedish goverment as new king of Sweden.
It was a brother to the danish prince that had fallen of his horse and died. He instead offerd the position to the of Napoleons generals Jean Baptiste Bernadotte, which said yes and become the new swedish king under the name Karl XIV Johan
