Turkey wants ”Santa-Clause” back

A Turkish researcher wants the goverment in Turkey to demand the return of Sankt Nikolaus remains from Italy. The bishop where born 270 in the city Myra in Asia (today in Turkey) and was known to perform miracles and giving away gold to the poor. He has also been the inspiration for the modern Santa-Claus. In 1807 Italian merchants stole the remains and burried them in Bari. Acording to BBC the goverment is going to think about the request from the researcher.
